Summary: Staff are super. Friendly, helpful and make you feel welcomed and special. Room was clean and just right for our needs. Alone breakfast, good variety and plenty of it. The breakfast room is very spacious, clean and has a great relaxing atmosphere. Parking is virtually right outside the main entrance and enough spaces for all. The location of the hotel is brilliant for all the main areas in Billund. So easy walk to Lego house 200m or so, Teddy Bear museum just a little further (metres away) Legoland an easy 20 mins stroll. Super

Summary: I booked a 2 night stay to visit the lego house and legoland. The city has a bus that stops right in front of the hotel that takes you to both attractions. It is very convenient. The hotel itself is an older building. Rooms are tight. Bathrooms are good size. Beds are comfortable. The hotel owners are very friendly and helpful. We also booked dinner here, the Danish tartletts are one of the best things we had on our 2.5 week trip.

Summary: The hotel was lovely, very quaint and cozy. Staff were friendly from check in to breakfast and drinks on the patio. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet, it had variety of cold and hot, and is the same each morning. Staff were constantly refreshing the buffet, so that was nice. We had a quadruple room, which was a bit tight for the 4 of us but ok for a couple of nights. Our room was a little worn as well. There was a fan though for the warmer days.

Summary: The staff was super friendly (thanks for helping my husband find his earbuds)! Room was comfortable and it was so great there was a fan because it was hot! Loved the vibe and breakfast was delicious!

Summary: Loved it here. The staff was very helpful recommending dinner locations for something quick and sit down. The breakfast spread a a good variety. I got to try Greek yogurt and Greek pastries that were so good!! Our room was in excellent condition, toiletries were fancy, ac was great, easy to get to with the elevator. Excellent for the price we paid The only thing i didn’t like was the surrounding buildings had graffiti so it brought the neighborhood down. And there was no laundry machines

Summary: A great hotel. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. Great rooms and great breakfast. Superb location as well for all things Lego. The hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere and a super place to relax. Highly recommend the Refborg. Am going back again in September Well done to all.

Summary: If you're looking for a place somewhere between a hotel and a traditional Danish guesthouse, Refborg hits a pleasant middle ground. The room was surprisingly spacious and would comfortably accommodate two adults and two children. Everything felt clean, practical and well maintained. Refborg markets itself as a 3-star property and generally delivers exactly that standard. No luxury finishes, but no unpleasant surprises either. A nice touch was the in-room coffee station. Not something you automatically expect at this level and very much appreciated when checking out before breakfast service. Being able to produce an emergency morning Nescafé before facing the day deserves credit. The reception was friendly, personal and refreshingly efficient. No corporate rituals, no unnecessary paperwork, just a straightforward check-in that felt more like arriving at a family-run guesthouse than a hotel chain. The room offered a proper desk, two TVs and a clean bathroom. The mattress was on the softer side and sound insulation could be better, as normal conversations from neighbouring rooms were audible. Families will likely appreciate the property even more than business travellers. The children's playroom is excellent and the entire place feels genuinely welcoming towards families rather than merely accommodating them. One point worth mentioning is pricing. During my stay the rate was 1,453 DKK (around €195), which is objectively quite expensive for a 3-star overnight stay.
